Our cutting-edge Ultrasonic Open Channel Flowmeter is a revolutionary non-contact instrument utilizing the principle of acoustic reflection to precisely measure water levels within weirs. By converting these measurements, it accurately gauges water flow through the weir. This sophisticated meter comprises a fully plastic-sealed ultrasonic probe and mainframe, making it exceptionally durable and versatile for applications in both industrial and environmental sectors. The probe, mounted above the weir, intermittently emits ultrasonic waves to the liquid surface, capturing the reflected signals to determine the propagation time (t). Based on the identified weir type, the main unit calculates the flow rate from the liquid level data with high precision.

I. Basic Setting: Upon completing the installation, simply set the installation height and select the standard weir/flume type for operation. II. Installation Height Setting: Depending on the type of water measuring weir/flume, its installation height measurement varies. Here are methods for several standard types: Parshall Flume: Measure vertically from the ultrasonic transducer (probe) end to the bottom inside the water measuring flume, in meters. Rectangular Weir: Measure vertically from the probe end to the lowest point of the water outlet, in meters. Triangular Weir: Measure vertically from the probe end to the right-angle point of the water outlet, in meters.
III. Flumes/Weirs Selection and Geometric Parameter Settings: Choose the appropriate flume/weir type based on actual conditions. For each type, set the corresponding geometric parameters. Below are the parameters for common types: Parshall Flume: Select 'Parshall Flume' and set the standard number. Determine the flume number by the width of the throat section, referring to Table 1 for standard flume numbers. Rectangular Weir: Select 'Rectangular Weir' and configure the channel width, weir width, bottom height, and geometric parameters description.
