I. Basic Setting: Once the instrument is installed, you need to configure the installation height and select the appropriate standard weir/flume type along with its corresponding instrument. II. Installation Height Setting: Installation height varies with different types of water measuring weirs/flumes. Here are standard methods for confirming installation height: Parshall Flume: Measure the vertical distance from the end of the ultrasonic transducer (probe) to the bottom inside the water measuring flume, in meters. Rectangular Weir: Measure the vertical distance from the end of the ultrasonic transducer (probe) to the lowest point of the water outlet in the measuring weir, in meters. Triangular Weir: Measure the vertical distance from the end of the ultrasonic transducer (probe) to the right-angle point at the water outlet of the measuring weir, in meters.
III. Flumes/Weirs Selection and Setting of Corresponding Geometric Parameters: Select the standard flume/weir type based on the actual type, and set the corresponding geometric parameters. Here are the parameters for some common flumes/weirs: Parshall Flume: Choose the parshall flume type and set the standard flume number based on the width of the throat section, as shown in Table 1. Rectangular Weir: Choose the rectangular weir type and configure the channel width, weir width, bottom height, and other geometric parameters as per the weir’s specific characteristics.
