This advanced device comprises an ultrasonic probe and a mainframe, both encased in a fully sealed plastic structure, ensuring durability and reliability. Widely applicable in industrial and environmental settings, this flow monitor provides unparalleled accuracy in open channel flow detection. The ultrasonic probe, positioned above the weir, periodically emits ultrasonic waves toward the liquid surface. Upon reflection, these waves are received by the probe, and the main unit calculates the propagation time t. Based on the pre-defined weir type, the host unit then determines the flow rate from the liquid level, ensuring precise and reliable measurements.

I. Basic Setting After installing the instrument, simply set the installation height and choose the appropriate standard weir/flume type for operation. II. Installation Height Setting Installation height varies according to the type of water measuring weir/flume. Here are the standard methods for confirming installation height for different types: Parshall Flume: Measure the vertical distance from the end of the ultrasonic transducer (probe) to the bottom inside the water measuring flume, in meters. Rectangular Weir: Measure the vertical distance from the end of the ultrasonic transducer (probe) to the lowest point of the water outlet, in meters. Triangular Weir: Measure the vertical distance from the end of the ultrasonic transducer (probe) to the right-angle point of the water outlet, in meters.
III. Flumes/Weirs Selection and Setting of Corresponding Geometric Parameters Select the flume/weir type according to the actual setup. For each type, set the corresponding geometric parameters as follows: Parshall Flume: Choose 'parshall flume' type and set the standard flume number based on the throat section width, as outlined in Table 1. Rectangular Weir: Choose 'rectangular weir' type and set parameters such as channel width, weir width, bottom height, and other geometric details.
