Installation Instructions

Leveraging the Doppler effect, this sensor ingeniously correlates the frequency variances between transmission and reception with flow velocity, while also establishing a relationship between ultrasonic time differences and liquid levels. It features static pressure level detection for specialized conditions and ambient temperature measurement to precisely correct the actual speed of ultrasonic propagation.

2.1 Installation Instructions
For the installer’s safety and optimal sensor performance, please adhere to the following installation sequence:
:
1) Securely mount the meter box and sensor bracket.
2) Insert the meter head into the meter case and lock it in place.
3) Proceed with mounting the sensor.
4) Complete the electrical connections.

2.2 Mainframe Installation
The mainframe can be installed either embedded or wall-mounted.
1) Mainframe dimensions: 176 x 150 x 86mm.

Wall mounting dimensions: 167 x 105mm.
Designed with four quick-mounting holes, simply align and secure screws at the designated points, then hang the product accordingly.
Note: Secure the probe during British line commissioning. To maximize the instrument's service life, protect it from direct sunlight and water exposure.

2.3 Sensor Installation
Precautions:
1) Avoid subjecting the sensor to shocks.
2) Do not unscrew the locking wire connector on the sensor post-installation to prevent damage.
3) Ensure the sensor isn’t exposed to freezing conditions in water to avoid damage.

1) Adhere to these criteria when selecting a sensor mounting location:
2) Mount the sensor at an optimal location to ensure accurate and representative measurements.
3) Install the sensor in an accessible area for easy and regular maintenance.
4) Position the sensor in a well-mixed process area, preferably at the sampling point to avoid downtime.
5) Ensure the sensor is near a representative process sampling point, within a maximum distance of 1.5m (5 feet). Accurate calibration and subsequent use require process sampling to compare instrument readings with lab analysis. Improper sampling often leads to erroneous results.

2.4 Sensor Installation Method
The innovative method of immersing the sensor within the channel or pipe using the mounting bracket is perfectly tailored for standard open channels, pipelines, and a myriad of other scenarios.
To ensure optimal performance, the sensor must be securely affixed to the mounting bracket. Never suspend the sensor in the water by its cable. For accurate readings, the sensor should be submerged to a depth of at least 30cm below the water surface, or to the usual sampling depth, while avoiding direct exposure to intense light.
1) Selection of Installation Site
Opt for a location where the water flow is uninterrupted and steady to achieve precise measurements.
In areas where the water flow is irregular and often turbulent, velocity readings will be erratic and unstable, leading to significant measurement errors.
2) Specifications for Upstream and Downstream Channels
Ideally, the flowmeter should be installed upstream at a site with a channel width 10 times the straight channel width and downstream at a site with 3 times the straight channel width.

For the most accurate flow measurements, the longer and smoother the straight upstream channel, the better. This section should be free from any obstructions such as gates or weirs to ensure a smooth, turbulence-free flow pattern in front of the sensor.
