Installation Instructions

The Doppler effect leverages the frequency difference between transmission and reception to correlate with flow velocity. Additionally, the time difference between ultrasonic transmission and reception establishes a relationship with the liquid level. It employs static pressure for special working conditions and ambient temperature measurement to correct the actual speed of ultrasonic propagation.

2.1 Installation Instructions
To ensure installer safety and optimal sensor performance, please adhere to the following installation order:
:
1) Securely mount the meter box and sensor bracket.
2) Insert the meter head into the meter case and secure it firmly.
3) Properly mount the sensor.
4) Complete the electrical connections.

2.2 Mainframe Installation
The mainframe supports both embedded and wall-mounted installation options.
1) Mainframe external dimensions: 176 x 150 x 86mm.

Wall mounting dimensions: 167 x 105mm.
Designed with four quick wall mounting holes for easy installation. Simply fix the screws according to the wall mounting points and hang the mainframe securely.
Note: During probe installation, ensure that the instrument is protected from sun and water to prolong its service life.

2.3 Sensor Installation
Precautions:
1) Avoid shocking the sensor!
2) Do not unscrew the locking wire connector on the sensor during installation to prevent damage!
3) Ensure the water does not freeze while the sensor is submerged to avoid damage.

1) Follow these criteria when selecting a sensor mounting location.
2) Mount the sensor at a position that ensures representative measurement results.
3) Install the sensor in an easily accessible location for regular cleaning.
4) Position the sensor where the process is well mixed and free of downtime, typically at the sampling point.
5) Install the sensor near a representative process sampling point. Ensure the distance between the sensor and the sampling point does not exceed 1.5m (5 feet). During calibration and subsequent use, sample the process to compare instrument readings with laboratory analysis results. Improper sampling operations can lead to erroneous comparison results.

2.4 Sensor Installation Method
The installation method of immersing the sensor in the channel or pipe via the mounting bracket is perfectly suited for a variety of settings, including general open channels, pipelines, and more specialized applications.
It is crucial that the sensor is securely attached to the mounting bracket. Never suspend the sensor in the water by its cable. For optimal performance, the sensor should be submerged to a depth of at least 30cm below the water surface, or to the depth typically used during sampling, while also avoiding direct exposure to intense light.
1) Choice of Installation Site
Select a location where the water flow is consistently smooth to ensure accurate measurements.
In areas where the water flow is irregular and turbulent, the measured flow velocity tends to be erratic and unstable, leading to significant measurement errors.
2) Requirements for Upstream and Downstream Channels
Ideally, the installation site should have an upstream channel width that is 10 times the straight channel length and a downstream channel width that is 3 times the straight channel length.

The longer the straight upstream channel, the better, as it allows for smoother flow and more accurate velocity measurements. This section should be free of obstructions such as gates or weirs to ensure a smooth, turbulence-free flow pattern in front of the sensor.
