Product Description

The Acoustic Doppler Point Flowmeter is an advanced flow detection instrument designed specifically for rivers, open channels, and pipelines. Leveraging state-of-the-art ultrasonic detection technology, this flowmeter offers unparalleled measurement accuracy and exceptional stability. Its performance remains robust with minimal influence from environmental factors. Engineered with no rotating parts, it requires low maintenance and ensures high operational reliability. Whether for online monitoring or portable measurements, it stands as the premier choice in flow detection solutions.

Harnessing the Doppler effect, this sensor precisely correlates the frequency difference between transmission and reception with flow velocity. Additionally, it utilizes the time difference between ultrasonic transmission and reception to accurately gauge liquid levels. For challenging working conditions, it provides static pressure level measurements and corrects the actual speed of ultrasonic propagation through ambient temperature readings. This meticulous approach guarantees highly reliable and precise flow measurements.

2.1 Installation Instructions
To guarantee installer safety and optimal sensor performance, please follow these steps in order:
:
1) Securely mount the meter box and sensor bracket.
2) Insert and secure the meter head into the meter case.
3) Proceed with mounting the sensor.
4) Complete the electrical connection.

2.2 Mainframe Installation
The mainframe supports two installation types: embedded and wall-mounted.
1) External dimensions of the mainframe: 176 x 150 x 86mm.

Wall mounting dimensions: 167 x 105mm
Quick and easy installation with four wall mounting holes. Simply fix the screws at the designated points and hang the mainframe securely.
Note: When commissioning products with British line, ensure the probe is securely fixed. Protect the instrument from direct sunlight and water to extend its service life.

2.3 Sensor Installation
Precautions:
1) Avoid any shock to the sensor!
2) Do not unscrew the locking wire connector on the sensor during installation; this may cause damage!
3) Ensure that water surrounding the sensor does not freeze to prevent damage!
Sensor dimensions are shown below:

1) Follow these criteria when selecting a sensor mounting location:
2) Mount the sensor at an appropriate location to ensure accurate and representative measurements.
3) Install the sensor in an accessible location for regular cleaning.
4) Place the sensor in a well-mixed area of the process without downtime, typically near the sampling point.
5) Position the sensor near a convenient process sampling point within 1.5m (5 feet) for accurate calibration and comparison with laboratory analysis. Proper sampling operations are crucial to avoid erroneous comparison results.

2.4 Sensor Installation Method
The optimal installation method involves immersing the Doppler Ultrasonic Flow Rate Velocity Sensor in the channel or pipeline through a mounting bracket. This technique is perfect for general open channels, pipelines, and similar contexts, ensuring reliable performance and accurate data collection.
Ensure the sensor is securely installed on a mounting bracket; never suspend the sensor in water by the sensor cable. For optimal results, immerse the sensor to a depth of at least 30 cm below the water surface, or to the typical depth for sampling. Additionally, avoid direct exposure to intense light to maintain sensor efficiency and longevity.
1) Selection of Installation Site
Select a location with steady, smooth water flow for precise measurement results.
In areas where water flow is turbulent and erratic, velocity readings can be inconsistent and unstable, resulting in significant measurement errors. Thus, it's essential to avoid such locations.
2) Specifications for Upstream and Downstream Channels
Ideally, the installation site should have an upstream channel width approximately 10 times the straight channel and a downstream width about 3 times the straight channel.
Doppler Ultrasonic Flow Rate Velocity Sensor

The longer the straight upstream channel, the smoother the water flow will be, leading to measurement results that more accurately reflect actual flow conditions. This channel section should be free from obstructions like gates or weirs to ensure a smooth, turbulence-free flow pattern in front of the sensor.
