Welcome to Jiangsu Aice Instrument Technology Co., Ltd., your premier destination for state-of-the-art instrumentation solutions. Discover the future of precision with our cutting-edge technologies and innovative products.
The Acoustic Doppler Point Flowmeter is an advanced flow detection instrument designed for rivers, open channels, and pipelines. Employing state-of-the-art ultrasonic detection technology, this device ensures exceptionally high measurement accuracy and unparalleled stability. Engineered to operate with minimal influence from environmental factors, the flowmeter features no rotating parts, which translates to a significantly lower maintenance frequency and superior reliability. Whether for online or portable measurement, this flowmeter stands as the premier choice for professionals seeking precision and dependability.
Utilizing the Doppler effect, this sensor calculates the relationship between the frequency difference of transmission and reception and the flow velocity. Additionally, it establishes a correlation between the time difference of ultrasonic transmission and reception and the liquid level. For specialized working conditions, the device measures static pressure levels, and it also corrects the actual speed of ultrasonic propagation by accounting for ambient temperature measurements. The comprehensive design ensures precise and adaptable performance across various application scenarios.

Installation Instructions
Utilizing the Doppler effect, this advanced sensor establishes a precise relationship between the frequency difference of transmission and reception and the flow velocity. It also determines the liquid level through the time difference between ultrasonic transmission and reception, making it ideal for static pressure level measurements in unique working conditions. Additionally, it measures ambient temperature to correct the actual speed of ultrasonic propagation, ensuring highly accurate results.

2.1 Installation instructions
To ensure installer safety and optimal sensor performance, follow these steps:
:
1) Securely mount the meter box and sensor bracket.
2) Carefully fit the meter head into the meter case and secure it firmly.
3) Proceed with mounting the sensor in its designated spot.
4) Complete the electrical connections.
2.2 Mainframe installation
The mainframe can be installed in two ways: embedded or wall-mounted.
1) Mainframe external dimensions: 176 x 150 x 86mm.
Wall mounting dimensions: 167 x 105mm.
Designed with four quick wall mounting holes, simply fix the screws according to the designated points and hang the unit securely.
Note: Ensure proper probe installation during initial setup. Protect the instrument from direct sunlight and water to prolong its service life.
2.3 Sensor installation
Precautions:
1) Avoid any shocks to the sensor!
2) Do not unscrew the locking wire connector during installation to prevent damage.
3) Ensure the sensor is not exposed to freezing conditions in water to avoid damage.
Sensor dimensions as shown:
1) Follow these criteria when selecting a sensor mounting location:
2) Position the sensor to obtain representative measurement results within the process.
3) Install the sensor in an accessible location for regular cleaning.
4) Ensure the sensor is placed where the process is well mixed and there is no downtime, typically near the sampling point.
5) Mount the sensor close to a representative process sampling point, easily accessible for operators. The distance between the sensor and the sampling point should not exceed 1.5m (5 feet). During calibration and regular use, sampling is necessary to compare instrument readings with lab analysis. Incorrect sampling can lead to erroneous comparison results.
2.4 Sensor installation method
The installation method involves immersing the sensor in the channel or pipe using the mounting bracket. This approach is perfect for various general open channels, pipelines, and other similar environments.
For optimal performance, the sensor must be securely fastened to the mounting bracket. Never suspend the sensor in water using the sensor cable. Ensure the sensor is immersed to a minimum depth of 30cm below the water surface or at the typical sampling depth, and keep it shielded from direct strong light.
1) Choice of Installation Site
Select a location where the water flow is smooth and consistent for accurate measurements.
In regions where water flow is turbulent and inconsistent, the measured flow velocity may fluctuate significantly, leading to substantial errors in the data.
2) Requirements for Upstream and Downstream Channels
Ideally, the flowmeter installation site should have an upstream channel width of 10 times the straight channel and a downstream width of 3 times the straight channel.
A longer straight upstream channel is advantageous as it ensures smoother flow, resulting in measurements that closely match the actual flow. This segment should be free of obstructions like gates or weirs to maintain a smooth and turbulence-free flow pattern ahead of the sensor.
