Installation Instructions

Leveraging the Doppler effect, our sensor calculates the flow velocity by analyzing the frequency difference between transmission and reception. Additionally, it determines liquid levels using the time difference between ultrasonic transmission and reception, and adapts to special working conditions with static pressure level measurements. Ambient temperature measurements are also factored in to correct the actual speed of ultrasonic propagation.

2.1 Installation Instructions
To ensure installer safety and optimal sensor performance, follow these steps in sequence:
:
1) Secure the meter box and sensor bracket in place.
2) Fit and secure the meter head into the meter case.
3) Mount the sensor securely.
4) Complete the electrical connections.

2.2 Mainframe Installation
The mainframe can be installed in two ways: embedded or wall-mounted.
1) Mainframe external dimensions: 176 x 150 x 86mm.

Wall mounting dimensions: 167 x 105mm.
Designed with four quick-mount wall holes, simply align the screws with the wall mounting points and hang the product securely.
Note: When installing the probe, ensure proper commissioning of British line products. Protect the instrument from sun and water to extend its service life.

2.3 Sensor Installation
Precautions:
1) Avoid shocking the sensor to prevent damage.
2) Do not unscrew the locking wire connector on the sensor during installation, as it may cause damage.
3) Ensure the water around the sensor does not freeze to avoid sensor damage.

1) Follow these criteria when selecting a sensor mounting location:
2) Mount the sensor in a location that ensures representative measurement results.
3) Position the sensor for easy access to facilitate regular cleaning.
4) Install the sensor where the process is well-mixed and operational without downtime, typically at the sampling point.
5) Place the sensor near a representative process sampling point, ensuring easy operator access for sampling. The distance between the sensor and sampling point should not exceed 1.5 meters (5 feet). During calibration and subsequent use, sample the process to compare instrument readings with lab analysis. Incorrect sampling operations can lead to erroneous comparison results.

2.4 Sensor Installation Method
The installation method involves immersing the sensor in the channel or pipe using a mounting bracket. This technique is perfect for general open channels, pipelines, and various other applications.
The sensor must be securely installed on the mounting bracket. Under no circumstances should the sensor be suspended in the water by its cable. Ensure the sensor is immersed to a depth of at least 30cm below the water surface or to the typical sampling depth, while avoiding direct exposure to intense light.
1) Choice of installation site
Select a location where the water flow is smooth and steady for accurate measurements.
In areas where water flow is irregular and often turbulent, the measured flow velocity will be erratic and unstable, leading to significant errors.
2) Requirements for upstream and downstream channels
Ideally, the installation site should have an upstream channel width of 10 times the straight channel and a downstream width of 3 times the straight channel.

The longer the straight upstream channel, the better, as it ensures smoother water flow and more accurate velocity measurements. This section must be free from obstructions, such as gates or weirs, to maintain a turbulence-free flow pattern in front of the sensor.
