This sophisticated instrument, comprising a robust ultrasonic probe and a durable mainframe, is designed with a fully sealed plastic structure to ensure longevity and reliability. The ultrasonic probe, strategically placed above the weir, emits ultrasonic waves that bounce off the water's surface and return to the probe. The main unit then calculates the propagation time (t) of this process. Depending on the type of weir, the system converts this data to determine the precise flow rate, providing unparalleled accuracy in liquid level monitoring.

Installation Instructions

I. Basic Setting After completing the installation of the instrument, simply set the installation height and select the appropriate standard weir/flume type and its corresponding instrument. II. Installation Height Setting The installation height varies based on the type of water measuring weir/flume. Below are the standard methods for confirming the installation height for various weirs/flumes: Parshall Flume: Measure the vertical distance from the end of the ultrasonic transducer (probe) to the bottom inside the water measuring flume, in meters. Rectangular Weir: Measure the vertical distance from the end of the ultrasonic transducer (probe) to the lowest point of the water outlet of the measuring weir, in meters. Triangular Weir: Measure the vertical distance from the end of the ultrasonic transducer (probe) to the right-angle point of the water outlet of the measuring weir, in meters.
III. Flumes/Weirs Selection and Setting of Corresponding Geometric Parameters Choose the standard flume/weir type based on the actual flume/weir in use. Set the corresponding geometric parameters for each type as outlined below: Parshall Flume: Select 'Parshall Flume' and configure the standard flume number. Determine the flume number by the width of the throat section, as detailed in Table 1. Rectangular Weir: Select 'Rectangular Weir' and set the channel width, weir width, and bottom height of the rectangular weir. Accurately describing these geometric parameters ensures precise measurements.
