Installation Instructions

The Doppler effect is harnessed to establish a relationship between the frequency difference and flow velocity. Additionally, the time difference between ultrasonic transmission and reception is used to determine liquid levels. For specialized working conditions, static pressure level measurement is utilized. Ambient temperature is also measured to correct the actual speed of ultrasonic propagation, ensuring high precision and reliability.

2.1 Installation Instructions
To ensure installer safety and sensor functionality, please adhere to the following installation steps:
:
1) Secure the meter box and sensor bracket in place.
2) Insert the meter head into the meter case and secure it firmly.
3) Install the sensor in its designated location.
4) Complete the electrical connections.

2.2 Mainframe Installation
The mainframe can be installed either embedded or wall-mounted.
1) External dimensions of the mainframe are 176 x 150 x 86mm.

Wall mounting dimensions are 167 x 105mm.
Designed with four quick wall mounting holes, simply align and fix the screws according to the wall mounting points, then hang the mainframe securely.
Note: Ensure the probe is fixed during British line commissioning. Protect the instrument from direct sunlight and water to extend its service life.

2.3 Sensor Installation
Precautions:
1) Avoid any shocks to the sensor!
2) Do not unscrew the locking wire connector on the sensor post-installation as it may cause damage.
3) Ensure the water around the sensor does not freeze to prevent damage.
Sensor dimensions are as shown:

1) Select a sensor mounting location adhering to the following criteria.
2) Mount the sensor at an optimal location in the process to obtain representative measurement results.
3) Install the sensor in an accessible location for regular cleaning.
4) Position the sensor where the process is well mixed and there is no downtime, ideally at the sampling point.
5) Install the sensor near a representative process sampling point, ensuring ease of sampling. The distance between the sensor and the sampling point should not exceed 1.5m (5 feet). During calibration and usage, compare instrument readings with laboratory results. Incorrect sampling can lead to erroneous comparison results.

2.4 Sensor Installation Method
The installation method involves immersing the High Precision Doppler Velocity Flow Sensor in the channel or pipe using the mounting bracket, making it ideal for general open channels, pipelines, and similar applications.
For optimal performance, the sensor must be securely attached to the mounting bracket. Hanging the sensor by its cable in water is strictly prohibited. Ensure the sensor is submerged to a depth of at least 30cm below the surface or to the standard sampling depth. Additionally, avoid direct exposure to intense light to maintain accuracy.
1) Choice of Installation Site
Select a location where the water flow is consistently smooth to obtain accurate measurements.
In regions where water flow is irregular and often turbulent, velocity measurements tend to be erratic and unstable, resulting in significant errors.
2) Requirements for Upstream and Downstream Channels
Ideally, the flowmeter's installation site should include an upstream channel with a width 10 times that of the straight channel, and a downstream channel width 3 times that of the straight channel.

The longer and straighter the upstream channel, the more consistent the water flow will be, leading to velocity measurements that closely reflect the actual flow. This section should be free from obstructions such as gates or weirs to ensure a smooth and turbulence-free flow pattern ahead of the sensor.
