Installation Instructions

2.1 Installation Instructions
For the safety of the installer and optimal sensor performance, adhere to the following installation sequence:

1) Securely mount the meter box and sensor bracket.
2) Position the meter head into the meter case and secure it firmly.
3) Install the sensor in its designated place.
4) Complete the electrical connections.

2.2 Mainframe Installation
Our mainframe supports both embedded and wall-mounted installations.
1) Mainframe external dimensions: 176 x 150 x 86mm.

Designed for quick and easy installation, the product features four rapid wall mounting holes. Simply align and secure the screws based on the wall mounting points, then hang the mainframe.
Note: When installing the probe, ensure that the British line commissioning products are securely fixed. Protect the instrument from sun and water to extend its service life.

2.3 Sensor Installation
Precautions:
1) Avoid shocking the sensor!
2) Do not unscrew the sensor's locking wire connector during installation to prevent damage.
3) If the sensor is submerged, ensure the water does not freeze to avoid damage.

1) Follow these criteria when selecting a sensor mounting location:
2) Mount the sensor at an optimal location in the process to achieve representative measurement results.
3) Install the sensor in an accessible location for regular cleaning.
4) Position the sensor in a well-mixed area of the process, typically where the sampling point is located, avoiding downtime.
5) The sensor should be near a representative sampling point. Ensure easy access for operators to perform sampling operations. Maintain the distance between the sensor and the sampling point within 1.5m (5 feet). During calibration and use, sample the process to compare instrument readings with laboratory analysis results. Incorrect sampling is a common cause of erroneous comparison results.

2.4 Sensor Installation Method
The installation method involves immersing the Partial Pipe Flow Doppler Velocity Sensor in the channel or pipe using the mounting bracket, making it ideal for general open channels, pipelines, and similar scenarios.
The sensor must be securely attached to the mounting bracket. Under no circumstances should the sensor be suspended in water by its cable. Ensure the sensor is submerged to a minimum depth of 30cm below the water surface, or to the typical sampling depth, while avoiding direct exposure to intense light.
1) Selection of Installation Site
Select a location where the water flow is steady and smooth to ensure accurate measurements.
In areas where the water flow is irregular or turbulent, the velocity measurements can become erratic and unstable, leading to significant errors.
2) Upstream and Downstream Channel Requirements
For optimal conditions, position the flowmeter at a site with a straight channel width 10 times the upstream flow and 3 times the downstream flow.

The longer the straight upstream channel, the better, as this ensures a smoother flow, resulting in velocity measurements that more accurately reflect the actual flow. This segment should be free from obstructions like gates or weirs, guaranteeing a smooth and turbulence-free flow pattern ahead of the sensor.
